Role Overview

Could you be our next Business Operations Analyst ? Globe Life is looking for a Business Operations Analyst to join the team!

In this role, you will be responsible for a full range of activities related to the planning, development, deployment, and support of new and existing projects impacting multiple business units and business processes. This position will lead several key projects for the New Business and Underwriting business functions, serving as the primary point of contact between the business and IT.

This is a hybrid position located in McKinney, TX (WFH Monday & Friday, In Office Tuesday-Thursday).

What You Will Do

  • Document and design business processes and make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact operational effectiveness.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Work together with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
  • Track and analyze business unit trends and make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact the department to create new or maximize existing initiatives based on data analysis.
  • Collaborate with all functional business units to achieve strategic, tactical, and project goals.
  • Work with project team members to monitor milestone completion, track all phases of the project life cycle, and provide timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, coordinating actions and resolving conflicts. This includes documenting, prioritizing, and tracking requests.
  • Consult with business units in developing user acceptance test plans and procedures for end-user testing, ensuring that all tests are conducted and documented according to the standards agreed upon by the business unit and IT.
  • Provide status updates and reporting on assigned projects.
  • Support business transition and help establish change.

What You Can Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry is a plus.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Manage details and execute effective follow-through.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Good knowledge of Excel and Outlook.
  • Access, SQL, Visio, Tableau, and Project experience is a plus.
