Position – Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Job Location – New Berlin, WI

Starting Date – Immediate

Employment Term – Temp-to-Hire

Employment Type – Full-Time

Work Hours (Shift) – 7 A.M-3:30 P.M, M-F

Starting Pay – Based on Experience, $16-$17/hr

Required Education – High School Diploma/GED preferred

Required Experience – Experience in shipping/receiving in warehouse environment

Job Summary

As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, receiving incoming materials, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting production with material flow. This position requires strong attention to detail, computer proficiency, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate is dependable, adaptable, and committed to maintaining accuracy and organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare orders for freight, parcel, and express shipments following proper procedures.
• Coordinate imports/exports, track shipments, and update shipping schedules.
• Accurately package, label, and identify outgoing orders by quantity, size, and part number.
• Prepare packing slips and ensure proper documentation for customers.
• Assist with assembly, labeling, and basic production tasks when needed.
• Receive incoming materials; verify accuracy against purchase orders and receiving slips.
• Inspect, store, and deliver materials promptly to the production floor.
• Restock consumables; maintain clean, organized work areas and follow all safety practices.
• Address shipping and receiving questions with internal teams and customers.
• Load trucks and prepare daily shipping reports.
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and troubleshoot issues.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required
• 1+years of experience with forklift operation
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and basic math skills for verifying counts and documents.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs.
• Positive, “can-do” attitude and willingness to learn.
