Job Description

Sprintax currently provide a range of tax products to the nonresident market including Sprintax Returns and Sprintax Calculus.  Sprintax Returns currently helps thousands of J visa holders with their US nonresidents tax.

Primary responsibilities are to maximize revenue through securing new clients by driving existing partnerships and identifying and developing new partnerships. The individual will work closely with the Business Development Manager for Sprintax and the wider Sprintax team, including product experts in the US and Europe.

This is a hybrid position with one day per week required in the New York office. There are opportunities to travel to conferences across the USA with this role.

The role:

  • Identify new sales opportunities for Calculus.

  • Manage a small number of existing Calculus client relationships.

  • Identification and evaluation of new product, service and market opportunities for Calculus.

  • Identifying opportunities for developing and nurturing leads, and securing presentation opportunities, including presenting and exhibiting at conferences, both in person and remotely.

  • Management of leads via HubSpot – evaluation of all opportunities, prioritization, development of leads and closing sales and marketing program.

  • Management and reporting of sales pipeline.

  • Working closely with the marketing team to contribute ideas to the marketing plan for the market, including the events and conference strategy.

  • Working with the onboarding and tax teams to ensure a smooth on boarding of clients and positive customer experience with Sprintax.

  • Conduct in-depth research on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform strategy and product positioning.

  • Develop strategies to retain existing clients and identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities for additional Sprintax products and services.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term partnerships.

  • Create tailored proposals and presentations to address specific client needs and pain points.

  • Gather and relay client feedback to the product development team to guide future enhancements or new features for Calculus.

  • Participate in product roadmap discussions to align client needs with development priorities.

  • Identify and establish partnerships with complementary organizations or platforms to expand Sprintax Calculus’s reach.

  • Represent Sprintax Calculus at key industry events, acting as a brand ambassador.

  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve challenges.

Requirements

  • Sales and business development experience (3 years minimum).

  • Entrepreneurial and proactive approach to working in a small team.

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Energy and enthusiasm.

  • Presentation skills

  • Effective office, time management and organizational skills.

  • Will be expected to undertake basic training on US nonresidents tax (support will be provided).

  • Computer literacy – knowledge of Word, above average Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Excellent spoken and written English (grammar, spelling, and pronunciation) and experience in presenting.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and reliability in client interactions and internal communications.
