Property Accountant – Real Estate $95,000/yr + 10% bonus

We are seeking a Property Accountant in Commercial Real Estate to join our team. The firm we’re working with is in property management, construction management, financial reporting and accounting services, asset management, and corporate advisory services. You will be responsible for assisting the team with a wide range of tasks – from reporting, reconciliations, and analysis to debt compliance, budgeting, and forecasting. This job pays $95,000/yr with 10% bonus and comprehensive benefits package. It a hybrid set up with 2 days on site and 3 days at home.

Responsibilities:

• In charge of creating monthly financial statements, supporting documentation, and reporting policies for the designated property portfolio
• Reconcile common area maintenance and real estate tax reconciliations in accounting system
• Prepare tax returns for properties, including sales tax, use tax, and occupancy tax
• Help collect property data for tax filings and year-end audits
• Track, record, and prepare financial reporting for Joint Venture entities on cadence determined by senior management

Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• Minimum of 2-5 years of property accounting experience
• Prior Industrial or Commercial Real Estate experience
• Experience with accounting software, preferably Yardi
