Job Description
Salary: $125,000 - 155,000 per year Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience, or 12 years of equivalent experience for candidates without a degree
- Must possess or exceed the DoD 8140 IAT Level II minimum Security+ certification
- At least 3 years of specialized experience focusing on application delivery and network security with an emphasis on the F5 Big-IP platform
- Active Secret clearance is required
- Extensive hands-on expertise with the F5 Big-IP platform and its core modules: LTM, ASM, APM, and DNS (GTM)
- Proficient in iRules development and scripting to customize traffic handling
- In-depth understanding of core application protocols ( DNS, SSL/TLS, TCP/IP)
- Demonstrated experience integrating F5 solutions with external authentication services (e.g., RADIUS, SAML, LDAP)
- Strong knowledge in security infrastructure integration, including experience with Palo Alto NGFWs, Cisco Firepower, and Infoblox DDI
- Experience managing Load Balancing, WAF, Reverse Proxy, and Forward Proxy functions within an enterprise DMZ
Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and oversee advanced traffic management solutions utilizing F5 Big-IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM)
- Deploy, tune, and manage F5 Big-IP Application Security Manager (ASM) policies to safeguard web applications against vulnerabilities
- Engineer and maintain secure access solutions using F5 Big-IP Access Policy Manager (APM), incorporating Two-Factor and Multi-Factor Authentication services
- Configure and manage F5 Big-IP DNS (GTM) for efficient DNS resolution and global server load balancing
- Integrate the F5 Big-IP platform with other critical infrastructures including NGFWs and DDI solutions
- Oversee the SSL/TLS traffic lifecycle, managing certificate processes and implementing Break and Inspect policies
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for application performance and availability issues, utilizing relevant diagnostic tools
- Collaborate with network and security teams to enforce Zero Trust security models and least privilege access principles
- Assist in certificate-based authentication and PKI infrastructure implementation and troubleshooting
- Conduct comprehensive traffic analysis to diagnose authentication issues and pinpoint network anomalies
