Product Owner - Data & Executive Insights Platform
Location: Denver, CO (Hybrid with some Travel)

We are a global organization operating large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure across multiple regions. The company is undergoing a broader data and reporting transformation to improve executive visibility, decision-making, and operational alignment.

Position Overview
We are seeking a Product Owner to lead the delivery of an executive-facing data and insights platform. This role is responsible for shaping product direction, translating business needs into actionable requirements, and guiding cross-functional teams through delivery.
This is not a traditional project management role. The Product Owner will operate as a hands-on partner to business stakeholders, data engineering, and design teams, with a strong focus on outcomes, usability, and trust in the data.
The organization currently leverages Power BI across its reporting environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the product vision, roadmap, and priorities for the executive data platform
• Partner directly with senior stakeholders to understand decision-making needs and business priorities
• Lead discovery activities including stakeholder interviews and KPI definition sessions
• Translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and a prioritized backlog
• Manage and continuously refine the product backlog to balance business value and delivery constraints
• Work closely with data engineering and analytics teams to define, validate, and govern KPIs and metrics
• Ensure insights presented are accurate, explainable, and clearly differentiated between current and predictive views
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to deliver an intuitive, persona-driven experience
• Advocate for simplicity and clarity while enabling drill-downs for deeper analysis
• Guide delivery within a mixed BI environment, supporting use cases across Power BI and Sigma Computing
• Partner with engineering teams through sprint planning, refinement, and reviews
• Manage dependencies across teams and workstreams to maintain delivery momentum
• Support executive reviews and adoption of the platform
• Incorporate feedback and drive iterative improvement post-release
• Act as a trusted partner who can challenge assumptions, clarify tradeoffs, and keep delivery focused on outcomes

Qualifications Required

• 7+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role
• Experience supporting executive-level stakeholders and high-visibility initiatives
• Strong ability to translate ambiguous business needs into structured requirements
• Hands-on experience working with data, analytics, and engineering teams
• Experience defining KPIs, metrics, and executive dashboards
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred

• Experience delivering analytics or executive reporting platforms
• Familiarity with Sigma Computing and Power BI
• Experience working in large, complex organizations
• Experience collaborating closely with UX/design teams
