The Imports Category Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, selecting, and managing imported product categories with a strong focus on European, Hispanic, Middle Eastern, and other specialty international goods. This role plays a key part in shaping the global product assortment and ensuring our customers have access to authentic, high-quality products from around the world. The ideal candidate is experienced in vendor relations, product development, pricing strategy, and market trends.
Develop and manage import product categories, focusing on European, Hispanic, Middle Eastern, and other international specialties
Identify, source, and negotiate with global vendors and suppliers
Analyze category performance, pricing strategies, and consumer trends to drive sales and margin growth
Build strong vendor relationships to ensure quality, availability, and competitive pricing
Collaborate with store teams, marketing, and logistics to ensure successful product launches and promotions
Monitor industry and category trends to introduce innovative and in-demand products
Ensure product quality, food safety, and compliance with all company standards and regulations
Minimum 3 years of buying or category management experience in grocery, retail, or food importing
Strong knowledge of European, Hispanic, Middle Eastern, and other imported product markets
Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
Strong analytical and organizational abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Experience with category management tools and inventory systems preferred
