Graphic Designer Corporate Location Hybrid remote in Fairfax, VA :

GRAPHIC DESIGNER- $60,000+/YEAR

Guest Services is now hiring a Graphic Design to join our growing Marketing team! We are seeking a service oriented graphic designer with sales proposal experience. This position will focus heavily on proposal/presentation design with other elements of marketing. (75% sales/25% marketing). This position pays a competitive base salary from $60,000- $64,000. Base salary will be set commensurate with experience. Local candidates in the D.C., MD and VA are, partial remote work options are available! Some travel may be required.

JOB SUMMARY

The Graphic Designer is responsible for interacting and designing with new business development, proposal, and operational professionals to develop compelling themes/concepts, convey ideas and design proposal graphics. You will also be assisting our corporate marketing team in brand campaigns and promotions. To be successful in this position, you'll be a self-starter, capable of delivering brilliant creative ideas, and show amazing attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment.

How will you make an impact?

  • Develop high-quality design and graphics for all proposal efforts, ensuring all materials align with the company brand and contract solicitation specifications.
  • Independently create proposal graphics from sketches or verbal requests, ensuring compliance and clarity.
  • Manage the production timeline and materials for proposals, including templates and meeting materials with company-selected vendors.
  • Review and advise on proposal layout and graphics, maintaining consistency across team contributions.
  • Produce materials for presentations and customized client gifts.
  • Ensure compliance and timely delivery of final proposal products.
  • Contribute to building and maintaining a graphics repository for business development efforts.
  • Support corporate marketing with the creation of printed materials, digital graphics for websites, social media, and other marketing efforts.

What will you bring to the role?

  • Bachelor's degree in graphical design or related field. Six years of experience as a graphic designer with at least 4 years in the development of proposals for federal agencies and private businesses.
  • Advanced software expertise in Adobe Creative suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop). Strong skills in MS Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • A portfolio showcasing creativity, layout skills, and analytical thinking.
  • Keen eye for visual composition and detail.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. May need to work evenings and/or weekends to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Openness to giving and receiving constructive feedback.
  • Basic understanding of marketing, website design, corporate identity, and multimedia design.

  • Ability to travel locally and nationally to units on an occasional basis.

  • Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English.
  • Constantly communicates and receives verbal communication with other employees and current and potential clients.
  • Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 15 lbs. occasionally, up to 30 lbs. seldom.
