Electrical Engineer
Job Description
As an Electrical Engineer, you will apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to design, develop, and enhance new and existing medical devices, including external defibrillators, external pacemakers, and monitors. Your role involves designing, testing, and documenting new circuitry and modifying existing systems and subsystems, particularly those related to analog, digital, power supply, isolation, and high voltage functionality. You will collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to support and develop complete systems and subsystems, working with external vendors and contractors as necessary. You will also support Manufacturing and Quality Assurance groups to debug or improve existing designs.
Responsibilities
Participate in design and development activities.
Create documentation associated with engineering activities.
Conduct debug testing or qualification of designs.
Engage in other projects related to engineering activities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
3+ years of electrical engineering and product design experience.
Experience in a medical or other highly regulated industry is strongly desired.
Familiarity with electrical engineering test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.
Proficiency in electrical design, schematics, hardware, and Cadence Allegro.
Experience with digital electronics.
Preference for candidates with medical device experience, but A&D experience is acceptable.
Must have experience with Cadence.
Work Environment
This position requires working fully on-site. The work involves collaborating with a fast-growing product line, specifically in developing new monitor/defibrillator products.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Palatine, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
