Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Teacher

3- and 4-Year Olds

Kaiser Elementary

Qualifications:

• Valid current Michigan Teaching Certificate with ZS or ZN endorsement is preferred.
• Willingness to seek full certification may also be considered. (Must have BA/BS)
• Demonstrated organization, planning and classroom management skills.
• Experience working with special needs children.
• Specialized academic preparation
• Work history exhibiting outstanding work habits including work attendance and positive communications.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience working with children with Autism.
• Training or willing to train in nonviolent crisis intervention (CPI).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Regular and reliable in-person attendance is an essential job function.
• Design and implement lessons plan for early childhood development.
• Develop, implement, and collect data regarding academic, social and behavior interventions.
• Collaborate with larger team to problem solve (including guardians, county consultants and outside service providers)
• Create and maintain accurate records.
• Other duties as assigned by the Principal and the Director of Special Education .
