Job Summary

This position is eligible for telework for applicants who reside in Minnesota or in a bordering state, with supervisory approval and satisfactory performance. If you live in a state bordering Minnesota, you must live within 50 miles or less from the primary work location to be eligible for telework.

This position is responsible for developing, managing and leading the following functions:

  • HCA risk management activities
  • HCA business continuity planning
  • Integration of compliance functions with risk management
  • Integration of business administration activities that support HCA project management, continuity of policies and continuous improvement
  • Other HCA planning initiatives

The incumbent works with all Health Care divisions and department-wide counterparts on these and other ongoing and short-term projects. Most projects require planning, facilitation, assessment, and reporting. This person provides project management expertise and serves as a collaborative member of the Chief Administrative Officer team. When in this role, the incumbent becomes directly involved in large-scale initiatives and projects associated with risk management, program integrity, business continuity and administrative analysis and improvements for HCA.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

3 years of work experience in project management in a medium to large organization (500+ employees, multiple locations).

Experience must demonstrate:

  • Experience in business continuity concepts, planning approaches, standards and best practices or similar types of activity.
  • Project management experience in designing and implementing work plans to accomplish program goals.
  • Applied knowledge of risk management principles and methodology within a multi-divisional organization.
  • Demonstrated success completing complex projects, working both independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have leadership skills sufficient to direct the work of others and bring projects to conclusion within a specified budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Broad programmatic and business process-focused understanding of the Medicaid enterprise.
  • Possess team leadership ability and knowhow; be able to assemble teams of project staff, track processes and deliverables and provide logistical direction for time-sensitive projects.
  • Have an understanding of and the ability to research federal and state laws and policies.
  • Demonstrate the ability to use a variety of tracking and reporting methods, formats and tools.
  • Be a skilled writer with the ability to produce project and other types of documentation.
  • Analyze abstract data, draw inferences, and communicate these inferences both orally and in writing.
  • Able to clearly format and present information, including the results of analysis in clear and concise reports for project sponsors, management and CMS.
  • Perform effectively, set and manage priorities under demanding deadlines and continuously fluctuating regulations and organizational relationships.
  • Ability to champion large scale administrative projects with focus on details as well as timelines.
  • Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
