Bankruptcy Attorney – Phoenix, AZ
Salary: $125,000 and up depending on experience
Schedule: Full-time, in-office (hybrid option after onboarding and firm integration)
Overview:
An established and reputable law firm in the Phoenix area is seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Attorney to lead and manage its consumer bankruptcy practice. This is a key leadership role ideal for a motivated attorney with at least five years of hands-on bankruptcy experience and a strong understanding of both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases. The firm offers a supportive environment, a steady flow of client work, and the opportunity to shape and grow the bankruptcy department.
Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the firm’s bankruptcy group, managing attorneys and support staff as needed
Handle a caseload of consumer bankruptcy matters from intake through discharge, including Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 filings
Provide legal counsel to clients regarding bankruptcy options and alternatives
Draft, review, and file all required documents and pleadings with accuracy and timeliness
Represent clients in hearings, trustee meetings, and court appearances
Ensure compliance with all applicable bankruptcy laws, regulations, and local court rules
Collaborate with firm leadership on practice growth, process improvement, and team development initiatives
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in Arizona (in good standing)
Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing consumer bankruptcy law
Demonstrated experience handling both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases
Proven leadership and management experience within a legal team or department
Excellent communication, client service, and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
